Course Description

The Basic Fundamentals of Marksmanship Course will cover gun safety, how to clean/ the maintenance of a gun and marksmanship.Firearms and ammunition are included for this class. The gun used for this class will be a .22 caliber firearm.

What is the structure of the course?

The Basic Fundamentals of Marksmanship Course is approximately a 2 hour classroom portion plus time on the range. We will provide details on how we would like to arrange the “time slots” based on experience and etc. Given that many shooters in this course have not experienced being at the shooting range, we like to have shooters observe the students ahead of them along with getting “used” to the sound of shots fired in the range.

What to bring to class:

22 caliber gun and ammunition is included in the course – you are welcome to bring your own gun to practice, and a writing utensil and notepad if you would like to take notes

Course Description

The North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) Training is the model course produced by the North Carolina Justice Academy. Upon completion of the course and live-fire exercises, successful students will receive a certificate required for the NC CCH permit.

What is the structure of the course?

The Concealed Carry Handgun course is an 8 hour instructional course plus range time. A written test will be administered in the course along with a shooting qualification. Each shooter will be required to shoot 10 rounds from 3 yards, 10 rounds from 5 yards, and 10 rounds from 7 yards for the qualification.

What to bring to class:

Firearm for shooting qualification must be higher than 22 caliber gun, 40 rounds of ammunition, and a writing utensil and notepad if you would like to take notes

Course Description

The AR-15 Training will cover basic safety, disassembly, and reassembly, maintenance, accessories and marksmanship. This course is intended to be an introduction to the AR-style firearm. AR rifles and pistols are permitted in this course. All firearms are required to have some form of stock or brace to shoulder the firearm. The primary focus of this course is learning and practicing the fundamentals of shooting, handling, and marksmanship of an AR-style platform.

What is the structure of the course?

Students will start this course with classroom time that will cover firearm safety and topics such as parts of the AR, how to field strip, re-assemble, and conduct a proper function check. Once on the range, students will learn and apply topics such as proper loading/unloading techniques, shooting positions, sight alignment, sight picture, and more. Additional discussions will be covered. Examples include selecting the proper sights, slings, optics, and accessories

What to bring to class:

AR-15, 50 rounds of ammunition, sling, optics and accessaries writing utensil and notepad if you would like to take notes
